The 2024 Christmas Season is in full swing, and the City of Hollister is excited to share our new decorations purchased with donations from our 2023 Donation Campaign. With our community's support, we are able to upgrade and improve our decorations each year to celebrate Christmas with all. Stop by City Hall or Connell Park to see them in person. The City of Hollister's Mitten Tree has returned to the foyer of City Hall. Each holiday, the community brings in mittens, hats, scarves, and gloves to help our neighbors stay warm this winter. Our tree overflowed with items last year, and we look forward to exceeding that number this year. Stop by City Hall and help us decorate our Mitten Tree and help keep our community members warm.

The City of Hollister will celebrate Downing Street Christmas at our annual tree lighting event, this evening at 6:00pm. Please use caution when traveling downtown during this time and be alert to increased pedestrians.
Plan to join the City of Hollister at our annual Downing Street Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, November 1st. Beginning at 6:00pm, Mayor Patton will proclaim Downing Street Christmas to begin. We will have performances from the Hollister School Choirs, Premiere Dance Academy and provide seasonally-themed refreshments with our very special guest, Santa Claus, lighting the tree.
